Dinner with Madhava Reddy and invitation to Bharat Vikas

While visiting Madhava, founder of Akshara Vanam, at his home in Hyderabad one week back, he had mentioned about his upcoming trip to Delhi for a meeting of Bharat Vikas officials between the 10th and 13th October, and we had agreed to meet during this time. I am very delighted that we were able to make it happen, despite the hectic schedules.

Today evening at around 8:00pm, I arrived at the Member of Parliament residence for dinner. My friend Suresh accompanied me. Madhava serves as the National Convener of Bharat Vikas Sangam, a 50,000 member organization that brings together leaders of Non Profit Organizations across India.
During our dinner, I had the pleasure of meeting Madhava’s friend, Dr.Thallada Bhaskar, also an official at Bharat Vikas, and a senior scientist and Head of Department at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). We had very lovely conversations, and exchanges about the work we do. I am looking forward to the opportunity to connect with both of them further and eagerly anticipate their visit to Wema, where they will have the chance to engage with and inspire our students.

Madhava has invited me to attend a conference this organization will host in January 2025 that will bring together more than one million people in social service from all states across India .I will definitely attend this, God willing.

Around 10 pm, we concluded our dinner, exchanged goodbyes, and I set off to return to my hotel. It marks the conclusion of my final night in Delhi, and I’m truly grateful for the four productive meetings I had today. It was a demanding day, but the outcomes make it all worthwhile. I depart for Kenya tomorrow evening, but there’s one more appointment to attend before I embark on my journey. I’m eager to return home and put into practice the valuable lessons I’ve acquired during this trip. At the same time, I can’t help but wish I could extend my stay to bask in the warmth and kindness of my gracious hosts. My heart is brimming with gratitude. We are all connected. Namaste!
